Commercialism

I'm honestly tired of all the pissing and moaning about Valentine's Day. I see more people making a big deal out of bitching about it, than I do people making a big deal about celebrating it.

The biggest issue people seem to have is "its so commercialized." Well so is Christmas, but you don't bitch about that because you like getting free shit.

Hell, how many people celebrating St. Patty's Day have any clue what that's about? SPD doesn't get any shit for that because people like to get drunk, and pretend they're Irish.

If you don't like commercialism in your holidays, how about next Christmas you tell people you don't want gifts because its Jesus' birthday and you're not buying into the commercialism.

Same for Easter, no candy, or egg dying. Just celebrate it for what it is, otherwise you're hypocritically feeding into the commercialized side of it.



And because I have a feeling someone will say "well I don't like it because its the only day of the year people show their love." No, no its not, and if a couple does do that, its a flaw with the relationship, not the holiday itself.
